CPR Classes in Phoenix and the Greater Metro Area

When you need CPR certification in Phoenix, the classroom comes to you. Steve Tenud, a retired healthcare professional and certified AHA and HSI instructor, teaches in homes, offices, clinics, and community rooms across the metro. One person renewing a card or a workplace team of twenty, the class happens where you already are.

Training across the whole valley

Steve is based in north Phoenix near the SR-51 and Loop 101 corridor, and travel within 20 miles of that corridor is included in the class fee, which covers most of the central metro. He teaches every week in Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Gilbert, and Avondale. He plans his own routes, so several sessions can fit into a single day.

BLS for Phoenix healthcare workers

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support course covers single-rescuer and team-based skills, high-quality CPR, and AED use. It meets the requirements of Arizona DHS and is the standard for nurses, CNAs, dental staff, home health aides, and patient care technicians. The AHA digital card arrives within 24 hours of the class and payment, valid for two years.

Certification for families, foster parents, and workplaces

CPR and AED training and HSI Basic First Aid meet the requirements of DCS and DES for foster and adoptive families, OSHA standards for workplace groups, and AHCCCS requirements for Direct Care Workers. Bloodborne Pathogens certification is available as an add-on to any session.

What it costs in Phoenix

A weekday class for one person starts at $90. Group discounts begin with the third attendee and apply to the whole group. Travel beyond the included radius is a per-mile fee, always confirmed before you commit. Friday through Sunday Steve is officially closed, but weekend sessions are available for groups of at least 3 attendees.

Getting certified, step by step

  1. Send a request with your part of the valley, a few dates, your group size, and the class you need.

  2. Steve reviews the request by hand and confirms the date, location, and headcount with you directly.

  3. He arrives with Preston manikins and real-time feedback devices, and your digital card is issued within 24 hours.

Prefer to talk first? Call or text Steve directly at 602-284-6928, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm.
